THE QUIET STUDIO
The Quiet Studio
Creative workshops for reflection, remembrance, and gentle reconnection
A calm, guided creative space for people navigating loss, change, overwhelm, or disconnection.
You do not need artistic experience.
You do not need to explain yourself.
You are simply welcome here.
Is this space for you?
You may feel drawn to these workshops if:
You have experienced a loss that is difficult to put into words
You feel emotionally exhausted or disconnected from yourself
You used to be creative, but no longer know how to begin
You long for quiet, reflective space away from pressure and performance
You carry memories, transitions, or emotions that need gentle expression
You are searching for calm, grounding, or reconnection through creativity
You want to make without judgement, expectation, or needing to “be good”
You are holding a great deal internally and need space to breathe
What happens in the workshops?
Each session offers gentle creative prompts using:
drawing
collage
sketchbook work
reflective mark-making
image and memory exploration
The focus is not on producing perfect artwork.
Instead, the workshops offer space to:
reflect
reconnect
notice
process quietly
and create without pressure
Sharing is always optional.
What kind of loss do these workshops hold space for?
Loss can take many forms.
These sessions may resonate with those experiencing:
bereavement
identity shifts
caregiving exhaustion
separation or divorce
life transitions
creative loss or burnout
loneliness or emotional overwhelm
You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation for what you are carrying.
A gentle approach to creativity
These workshops are artist-led and reflective in nature, but they are not therapy or group counselling.
The intention is to offer a thoughtfully held creative space where participants can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore creativity in a calm and supported environment.
About the facilitator
I am an illustrator and experienced creative educator with 16 years’ teaching experience, currently specialising in Art & Learning.
My practice is rooted in reflective creative processes, gentle facilitation, and creating spaces where people feel safe to explore without pressure or judgement.
